the kids were home on their own for one of the first times. after an afternoon of bickering i wondered how this was going to work. the reply: “mom, you know that when you leave we pull it together.” wise ones.
in the final moments, they pulled it together and created a cozy space for themselves. complete with a concession stand in one of the newly emptied out cabinets, a couple redbox movies and tons of blankets.
