making a memory

something about this photo grabs me close.

this is, gratefully, a familiar happening.  the kids around the fire, construction workers coming and going, gardens that need tending, micah in socks and no shoes, eliza eating marshmallows as fast as she can, naomi patiently roasting the perfect one, daddy in his outside work get up…the jacket and cowboy boots from college days, feeling nestled in (though i am aware of how un-hidden we are!).  memories, memories.
