my mom has done kids club for years at her church in southern chicagoland. it is a beautiful space for children to unwind, visit with adults, eat, create, build community, experience a bit of heaven on earth.
while the scenery and children looked different here, there was similar joy at our first kids club meeting.
the agenda: get wet, play with shaving cream, eat a snack, drink something sweet.
the rules: we are all part of kids club (even if some of us can’t come to meetings), stay outside until you talk to an adult, respect the church building, keep the “dry zone” dry.
a great first meeting was had.
