in anticipation of a certain family’s departure to the south, dear luann set up la escuela de espanol.
there were labels all over the house and yard, high school student helpers, snacks, games, writing, drawing, feeding of la tortuga, counting jumps on the trampoline, learning how to order in a restaurant…and much more i don’t know about, i am sure.
i really don’t know if i can describe the beauty offered in this week. nevermind the incredible passion of friendship for a home and mind to be opened so completely.
gracias, maestra luann y el guapo doug. te queremos.

It has truly been a tremendous gift. My kids were excited about Spanish for the first time. My heart aches when I imagine the lost time with these friends. I only hope they will keep a space open for us “at the campground.” Thank you, LuAnna y Guapo. And thank you Kristin for capturing it.
