naomi’s creativity continues.
her room is covered in duct tape, paper scraps, thread and fabric. her walls are full of graffiti (yes, what goes around comes around), her ceiling holding lengths of yarn. grade 5 had the assignment of a “planet project.” oh, i LOVED looking at 20-some representations of the planets. so inspiring. naomi sewed her planets as fabric discs, then as pillows, then suspended them with rick rack, then cut the rick rack off, then hot glued them onto another big pillow, then cut stars from fabric, then used mirrors instead…mom, she is your granddaughter.
you can imagine the jokes going around on this one….oh, uranus is so squishy. wow, how did uranus get so blue

p.s. happy earth day
i would love to lay my sleepy head on uranus!

That’s really amazing! As we get older, Uranus gets further away.
