it wasn’t until we got to subway that i realized eliza looked like this. i was tempted to title this post “for the price of a cup of coffee…” but then i felt sad for those many children on the planet who know that reality.
again i am reminded that under the grime and mess, things are deeply good.
and i was grateful that the restaurant was empty so my (and Naomi’s) embarrassment could be saved for another time.
