well, if you do think this is just sand, you might be surprised. micah has been begging to make booby traps ever since watching home alone. he and i announced to naomi that we were going to make a booby trap and she thought we meant something for me to wear…uh, no.
first we dug the hole…
then spread the blanket over the hole…securing the edges with wet sand and sprinkling dry sand on top,
then if you know it is a booby trap and you want it to be more fun, you can jump in. if you don’t know it is a booby trap, then you just walk on what you think is sand and either way you will fall in.
hee hee hee, booby trap!
and since we buried half of a tire in part of the sandbox, eliza was occupied. good thing.
I love your photography! Seeing the pictures makes me think of my kids in preschool and I can’t believe how quickly time goes by!
I do miss the innocence of that time, but love the new times that age brings!

Landon has been talking a lot about booby traps lately because of some friends telling him they have booby traps set up in their backyard to catch a burglar. ??? Anyway, this looks like fun. Hope no one sprains an ankle

hmmm…remind me to watch out next time i play in your sandbox! my boys have not seemed to grab hold of the booby-trap thing yet and i think i’m glad for now…seems like it could get a bit treacherous! note to self: no home alone movies for this fam!! ; )
