kindergarten program

oh, my dear son.  he was so nervous…not in a cute excited way, in the way that he would have been so happy to stay home.

but we went, he did it!

we sat in the front row and he found buddies to wait with (really, i just wanted to take a picture of those sweet girls in the background) and then began the run of songs and poems…he was so worried how hard it would be, that he wouldn’t remember when to hold up his goat, that there was too much to keep track of, oh child.

and then it was over, and off the stage he came!

afterwards, with relaxed enthusiasm, he gave us a show in the school yard…oh, sweet goofy boy.

so we snuggled (and made faces) our way home in the setting sun…me once again wondering about these life experiences we move our children through while longing to protect them for the dull pains of life…

  1. My heart aches and rejoices all at once! It’s a beautiful life, indeed! Please give Micah, and the others too, a special squeeze from Mom and me today. Well, I guess it’ll have to be tomorrow morning. :-)

    Love you so much!

  2. oh my – i think you know what i’m going to say…my sweet boy still struggles – just last nite he had trouble sleeping because today we are going to a fun center with another family – even fun can be anxiety provoking!! the godd thing is that he has learned to talk about it and understand it for what it is, “i always feel funny in my tummy now…then when it’s done it was just fun, fun, fun…i know.” another step in the right direction!! may micah find his way on that journey as well! way to go micah – it seems you did a wonderful job!!

  3. Whew! I’m glad you also sent the “after” photos. What a relief! And the two girls … could be on a greeting card. Great friends.

  4. Wow! I was just going to post that I thought he really looked like Jon in some of those pics. I thought perhaps I was crazy, but I see that others noticed the same thing. I’m glad he made it through that stressful time!
